Harriet is one of three does we brought in late summer of 2021 and she was dried off when we brought her home. Like Lemon Drop, she will get a proper photoshoot in the spring after she kids. I am not exaggerating when I say I felt like a kid on Christmas morning when we were picking up this Apache Wind daughter. It was a 15 hour round trip we were willing to make just to pick up Harriett, but we purchased Harriett's half sister Kia and Kia's daughter Lemon Drop too.
Harriett has many stunning qualities about her. At first glance you immediately notice her overall smoothness of blending, the strength across her topline with a naturally level rump from hips to pins. Harriett is easily the longest bodied, most level rumped doe in the herd. She is holding up well for being almost 8 years old. We are just crossing our fingers we get a few more freshenings before she retires.
Harriett's sire is GCH +*B Wood Bridge Farm Apache Wind, a buck I greatly admire and hope to build my herd around as much as possible. Apache Wind offspring are fabulous, and Harriett is no exception to that. Harriett's dam is a beautiful doe in her own right and goes back to some animals way ahead of their time, including ARMCH Jobi Lovely 2*D and ARMCH Twin Creeks BH Bay Watch ++*S ++B.
